South Africa’s home summer moves from one big Test series to the next in November, when Bangladesh arrive for a full multi-format tour that begins with two Tests on the Highveld and ends with a T20I series in mid-December.

The Tests carry World Test Championship points and open the second half of South Africa’s home season. The first Test is at the Wanderers in Johannesburg from November 15 to 19, and the second at SuperSport Park in Centurion from November 23 to 27. Both Tests start at 10:00 AM South Africa time, which is 1:30 PM IST. Squads for the series have not been announced yet, and this guide will be updated on the same page when they are, rather than in a second article.

The context makes the series more interesting than a routine home assignment. South Africa are the reigning World Test champions and are currently in a series decider against Australia at Newlands, with the series level at 1-1 after Australia won in Durban and South Africa hit back in Gqeberha. How that decider ends will shape the mood — and the WTC table — going into the Bangladesh Tests, where South Africa will be expected to press home their pace and bounce advantage on two of the quickest grounds in the country.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, arrive in the middle of their own Test campaign. They are currently playing West Indies at home, with the first Test in Mirpur running from October 28 to November 1 and the second in Sylhet from November 5 to 9, and the South Africa tour is their first away Test assignment of this WTC cycle. Winning in South Africa is one of the hardest tasks in Test cricket, and for Bangladesh the realistic target is competitive cricket on fast, bouncy pitches — the kind of experience that also feeds directly into their white-ball preparation for the 2027 World Cup cycle, which South Africa co-host.

After the Tests, the tour continues with three ODIs — December 1 at Buffalo Park in East London, December 4 at St George’s Park in Gqeberha, and December 7 at Newlands in Cape Town — and three T20Is — December 10 at Kimberley Oval, December 12 at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, and December 13 at SuperSport Park in Centurion. The white-ball leg is South Africa’s final home assignment before England arrive for three Tests from December 17, starting with the Wanderers Test, the Boxing Day Test at Centurion and the New Year’s Test at Newlands.

For fans, the key dates are simple: Tests in the second half of November, ODIs in the first week of December, T20Is in the second week. Squads, and any streaming or telecast confirmation for India, will be added to this page when announced.
